What is BagTheJob.ai?
BagTheJob.ai is an AI job application agent. The free agent skill runs on your own computer inside the Claude desktop app: it opens a job posting in your browser, tailors your resume and cover letter for that role, fills in the application form, and then stops so you review and submit it yourself.
Is BagTheJob.ai free?
Yes. The agent skill is free and published on GitHub, and every account also gets 5 applications a day from the BagTheJob listings database at no cost. No card and no subscription are needed, and the daily allowance refills every day.
What happens after the 5 free applications each day?
The free allowance refills the next day. If you want to apply to more jobs than that, Basic is $19 a month for 150 application credits and Pro is $39 a month for 600. A paid plan replaces the free daily allowance with the monthly one.
Does the agent submit applications for me?
No. The agent fills the application form and then stops before the final submit. You read what it wrote, change anything you want, and send the application yourself.
Do I need an account to use the agent skill?
No. If you paste job links yourself, the skill runs in manual mode: no account, no API key, and no request to the BagTheJob servers. An account is needed only when you want the agent to pick jobs from the BagTheJob listings database.
Where do the job listings come from?
The listings come from company job boards such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workday, plus other public sources. Duplicate and obvious spam postings are removed, and roles that close are marked closed, so what you see is what is still open.
Does my resume leave my computer?
No. Your resume, your saved answers, your cover letters and the generated PDF files all stay on your machine. On a paid plan the agent sends only your targeting preferences, each job's status with its notes, and the text of screening questions it met — never your answers and never your personal details.
What do I need to run the agent?
You need your own computer, the Claude desktop app, and the Claude in Chrome browser extension. Paste the setup command into a Cowork session and the agent walks you through first-time setup, including your resume and the roles and cities you want.
